What kind of numbers are you getting from your Saito 82? Mine turns a 13x8 prop about 300 rpm more than my O.S. 91 Surpass. Unless yours has a problem, you won't find a stronger 40-size 4-stroke, unless you shoe-horn a Saito 100 or YS 91/110 into your plane.

Speaking from physical size and fit or anything else I don't think I would call a YS91 or YS110 a 40 size engine. A Saito 72, 82 or a YS 53 or 63 are "40 size" drop ins. If you are looking for the kind of power produced by a "power house" 40 size 2 stroke, i.e. Jett 40/50, YS45 or even Webra 50, Rossi 45/53 etc, etc your not going to get it with a 4 stroke that is a drop in fit for those engines.

yeah i own a rossi 53 and before i bought this saito i was going to buy a jett 76L (same size as a os 46!) thats awesome! on the saito i am running ys 20/20 fuel dont know what numbers im getting but just not happy with the performance really that and its totally weird getting used to t the way a four strokes power delievery is, kinda have to learn to hover all over again and u have to keep alot more power on all the time.

Jacak-26,
I've got a YS 91AC in the box, one way valve, and manual. It only has about 30 min running time. What else in addition to the Saito 82 do you have to trade?
Before I change my mind man.

All YS 4 strokes are supercharged. Some use a separate air chamber and the rocker cover as an accumulator and some just use the rocker cover and intake plenum as an accumulator. But all are supercharged.
I found on the Saito 72 using a 13/6 prop that 20/20 gave me little or no improvement over 15/18 but when I used 30 percent heli fuel (30/23) with low viscosity oil I picked up 600 rpm. I went from 10200 adjusted for flight to 10800 aff. That really surprised me. I also tried 25/20 and only gained a 100 rpm. I think it was the low viscosity oil in the heli fuel that helped. All the fuel was powermaster.

You really should try the 14x4W APC and Coolpower 30% heli fuel before giving up on it. The Satio 82 is the most powerful 40 size drop in engine available. If you need more power then use a Satio 91 or 100. What plane is this engine in. Most of the time a YS 63 or Satio 72/82 are plenty for 40 size planes doing 3D if setup with the right fuel and prop. Also that Satio might need some more breakin time to give full power. Satios need a couple gallons to break in completely.

the .82 is in a fazer of all things lol. but i totally swaped the empanage off a CG ex-treme 330 the stock rudder and elevator are extremely inadequet. its a little heavy for its size about 5 lbs but im just waiting on my omp katana to come in wich should be almost a half pound lighter so i am taking that into account also. but i just want it to pull out of a hover HARD! lol maybe im crazy....probably

If your plane really is NO MORE than 5 lbs the Saito 82 with a 14/4 and 30% heli should snap it up out of a hover or straighten it with a blip of the throttle with good authority. My experience says that 5 lbs is about the max for a YS63 or a Saito 72 and still have good snap remaining.
