It interrupts the air flow so minutely. Wouldn't worry about it, take it off if your in temperate climate. You only need it in a very cold climate.

Keep in mind that on the TT .91 the choke has a venturi that is smaller than the carb bore and it improves the fuel draw. The others are the same or large bore as the carb. The only advantage they have other than the choke is that they act as a short velocity stack, which will reduce the amount of fuel mist blown out of the carb.

On all the Saito engines that have them, I keep the choke installed. It seals the base of the stack, if nothing else.
Yes, Bako, an air filter is well worth having.

What you said was "Fuel" filter. I read it as "Air" filter. My fault, not yours.
But yes, if the air filter is about 3/4" (19 mm) from the carb spray bar it stays drier not getting as much fuel spray, and stays clean longer.
The short stack and the air filoter combined seem to eliminate all spray out the intake.
A fuel filter is also a good idea.
