This is from a post by William Robison in 2005: I called Horizon about this.
There was a 30 size car engine considered a few years ago, and the idea was dropped. I asked, if it was dropped why is it included on the brochure with a new airplane engine?
Best speculation is that Saito (Japan) has gone ahead with the development, but at the moment Horizon knows nothing. They didn't even realize the included brochure had the illustration.

Gary these parts are off a ducati s4 900 monster.dave loves his harleys, you like your guzzi's and i like my ducati's but this guy has gone to far, these retro cafe strip dudes have a lot to answer for.The basic colour under all that masking is similar to a hire companies version of machinery orange plus battleship grey and the whole bike will then be sprayed with .004 hologram flake followed by 2pk clear.Reminds me of glenn campbells song the rhinestone cowboy,i think he's a bit light in the loafers
Dave thanks for the flywheel pic but i don't like the colour,to close to hospital cream for me,which reminds me about your lime green coloured harley but the jokes on me this time.
One of the car engines sold on eBay a couple of months ago. A real, in the flesh .30 car engine, brand new, in box. Some fellow paid a lot of money for "rare".
Edit:
Looks like it didn't sell!

Think I'll ask my Norwegian lass for a few $$$.
Not!

I have to drill them to .25".
I may have mislead DMRC about my 30, The prop I got the 10,440 rpm was a Graupner G-Sonic 10 x 6. The G-Sonic's seem spin up easy, I don't know if that's good or bad.Everyone loves APC's because they spin up more rpm so maybe it's good.

Piloted reamers do a nice job. This one is 6mm pilot and .250" reamer. Made by regrinding a standard reamer with on on-size pilot section. Re-grind the flutes to restore a cutting edge.

I have a 100 in my Cubs, one is in very good condition and spins a 15x8 smooth as silk, the other needs bearings. What I found was an Evolution 15x8 worked extremely well, but I can no longer find them.
On props, I wonder if drag and/or lack of weight is what has some spinning slower than another. APC is pretty much a standard prop for me because it is what I went with during "training" to fly in case I nosed in, less chances of the prop snapping. I started going with wood props on some planes, those that turn larger props like the DLE 30 and DA 100, but have some wood ones now for the smaller ones when the APC's break.

Jesse I can definitely relate! My wife is 100% German one side from Prussia! When she worked security for AA at JFK with her sister they were known as Hitler and Mussolini. My wife was Hitler! When she was a kid she used to threaten the other kids in a German accent "I will tell Uncle Adolph on you!". She actually had an uncle named Adolph, his last name was Bernhardt not Hitler.

That's never gonna happen gary only in the movies sometimes...
Dave i don't know much about prop aerodynamics it's just about how they perform under flying conditions/the type of flying you do,rpm on the bench does not sway me from flight performance with any prop and that is the only consideration with small block saito's if you like flying aerobatics.
I believe 'she who must be obeyed ' came from an english series about a lawyer,it was called 'rumpole of the bailey' good show. This is a lady i'd hit the deck for,and if ruth buzzi was there i'd be digging a foxhole.
