Default Saito adjustment help needed

I was changing the angle of the throttle arm on my saito 56 and thought the Idle adjustment screw was the set screw, so I backed it out quite a ways before I realized what I had done. Does anybody know what the factory settings on that idle screw is. The factory setting was working great and If I just knew what it was things would be a lot easier.

TIA
John

With the steel throttle arm the head of the screw is even

With the plastic arm recessed about 1/2mm

But the final adjustment is how it runs. That's why it is adjustable

Those are starting out positions and are generally rich. So from there the needle is usually turned in. Start there and work your way in until you get a good idle and transition. So this in small steps like an 1/8 of a turn.

Have patience and good luck.

Cheers,

Chip

Thanks for the response guys.
I was actually hoping that the factory had a certain number of turns that they normally used. The motor was running great with the factory specs and I was hoping to just dial that in and keep flying with minimal tinkering.

You'll find that Saitos from the factory are set very rich on the low speed needle. Get it set right and you will be amazed at the idle will now get.
