I have an Evolution 46 that I crashed last fall. It went nose first into the pavement. When I fired it back up on a new plane this spring it had a leak around the prop shaft at the front of the engine. I replaced teh front bearing but I still have a drip leak. Should I replace the shaft also? Any other ideas on wht might be causing this leak? The crank case does not show any cracks.

A small leak at the front is no big deal, but is the crank bent ? The new bearing you
installed....was it plain (bare balls) shielded, or rubber shielded ? The front bearing
may have enlarged the front of the case where the outer race of the bearing fits, due
to the impact of the crash. [

This may be the cause of the leak as well.
