Default OS 160 FX + custom header + MVVS pipe

Hi all,

Ive just finished rebuilding an OS 160FX with a new liner+piston and ring. I'll break it in with a normal OS F glow plug using 18x6 prop and 0% nitro fuel with Bisson Pitts Muffler.

Ive hooked up a new CDI ignition to the engine as well, once its broken in, I'll switch it to ignition.

Now here is the thing: This engine will go into a World Models Spot On 120 Pattern ship.

I'll be using a MVVS 3266 tuned pipe with it. For header, I gave an order for building a custom header to Just Engines last week.

Once I got the custom header, how am I going to tune this pipe for midrange authority?

I bet its not as easy as peak tuning it just for max rpm.

I'll use this setup for serious pattern practice.

I guess the props I can use are APC 17x10, 18x8, 18.1x10 - or I can go with a JXF 18x8 wood prop (as its wide enough for downline braking)

How do I set it up? cutting the header again? or just use it as it is?

PS: On another note, do i certainly need to use a perry pump with it? (the fuel tank is located behind firewall)

Thank you for your input.
