i am looking for a happy medium between speed and torque. Maybe leaning towards torque. Thanks.

Depends on your airframe but try a 10x5.

Default TT Pro .36 Prop.

APC 10 x 6 or 11 x 5 should do the job for you.

I run the 10 x 6 on mine. Good speed, excellent torque at 12500 RPM.

Happy Fly'n....

On my Pizza box, an 11X3; on my combat, 9X7! Pure torque or pure speed!

I use an 11x3 on my Uproar 40 with amazing results. Definitely unlimited vertical. Hover and vertical pull outs without issue. I've also put an 10x5 on the same setup which gives it less thrust more speed (less fun), but tops out at about the same rpm. Haven't tried a 10x4, but if it gained another thousand rpm or so, it may take similar thrust to the 11x3...

Enjoy!
