Default Bummer...

Well I found this thread three days ago and read thru all 800+ entries but it seems Steve fell off the face of the earth by the time I reached the end. So I looked him up and it seems he lost 'EVERYTHING" in a fire. I can only imagine that pain! An old time flyer who lives down the street from me lost everything to the Thomas Fire last year, our house was spared. So, so sorry for Steve and I hope no one was hurt. It was good to see a post from this year by him. I kinda felt a kinship after following his build. I really feel bad for him!
I have two Nosen kits that I bought over 30 (closer to 40?) years ago. The DGA-6 actually is die CUT (not crushed) but the list of materials was lunch for some long gone bug. It will be an interesting build. I'm not starting it until I get an engine. I'm looking at possibly a UMS 9-115 9 cylinder radial (same dimensions as the Evolution 9-99) but gas. Diameter is 10-1/4" and the cowl in the kit is 11-3/4". Not set on that, but it has to look and sound scale. One sure thing I took away from Steve's thread is - it won't be easy and it won't be quick.

Hi to all - I just picked up a partially complete MM with some of the plan sheets. I don't have the windshield pattern and wondered if anyone would be able to scan a pic and send it along. Would really appreciate the help//Thanks

Hi Nick,
I am about to get back into the kit I started and will have it available then if ya still need it.
I don't have it on hand at the moment.
I moved and the kit and all went back to the owner till I could set up shop. Almost done!

The Mulligan has to be one of the most started and seldom completed kits in existence. Keep up the good work! We need more completed examples.

I got to say I have toyed with building a DGA-6 (Mr. Mulligan) or Joe Raspante's Snow White (converted to R/C), both are bigger than I want to build and store. My sweet spot is 1/5th scale, something in the 65" to 84" wingspan range. The same restrctions kept me away from Goldberg's Valkyre too.

I have been updating an old Bud Nosen Mr. M and have gotten to the point of redoing the landing gear so it is more shock absorbing.
Here are a few pics of where I am at.

From a fellow Mr. M owner on how he made his gear more shock absorbing.
I plan on doing about the same thing.
I will post pics of what my version came out.
