tmac49,
just toured your last set of pictures where your talking about tape and hours. i noticed in one of the pictures you have sevos mounted aft of the cocpit. i assume this is a 33% barth kit, my question is do you have access to the servos for repair etc. i wasn't able to see from that view.
i'm pondering this on my 1/4 kit and don't want to build in hatches, if you would please advise. by the way your wires look great, super job.
thanks

Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm on a fast track to recovery. This operation was minimally invasive, so the recovery time should be measured in days rather than weeks as the open heart thing was.

I was wondering is someone has a copy of the original construction manual for the Pica Waco in PDF format that was on the House of Moy site? I need a copy.
Thanks.

Which one? The long manual (45 page) or the short (17 page).

The Short Manual - Revised is the only version I have in PFD format. It has many of the changes developed by the brotherhood but is not a detailed as the long manual.

I have the long manual copied as jpg files, it totals 48 pages and is about 38.5 MB long. Send me you e-mail and I will send it to you either as a single file or in groups of pages.

Well while waiting for more supplies I put in a few screws just to get a look. I know they are not scale but close enough for me. The screws will be removed and put on after painting, I want them bright and shiney. The front cover still needs stitching and snaps, I'll get there

added second photo of cover, first not good

Robert,

It actually depends on the particular aircraft. The 1987 Waco Classic YMF, NC 14081 does not have screws along the traing edge of the cockpit sheet metal. The 1934 WACO UMF, N 14031 does have screws (I count 4 in the photo I have) and a hand crafted UMF, NX 14377 (earliest certification 2009) also has 4 although spaced a little different than N 14031. N 2021N, a UMF built in 1999 does not appear to have the screws but does have a Ring or Speed Cowl. Just do what is correct for the plane you are modeling.

Thank's skylarkmk1 for the info. The only photoI have of the color scheme I like, is not enough to go with for detail. Sent a letter to the last known owner, no responce.Tried useing the year built as a reference with other airframes, but seems like each plane was built different. So I came to the conclusion that it would not be scale to one particular model. But built with a combination of a couple airframes. And with what I like. An example of that personalization, WB184call letters. So far so good.
If or I should say when I build a bigger scale model I will make sure to use a subject more accessible irregardless of color scheme.
