RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
Spinning on concrete or tile is normal on spool up as the tail is not up to speed yet. If you take off on carpet or grass and spool up slowly that will not happen. Every RC heli will do that until the tail is spinning at speed if started quickly.
Is the horizontal trim on the left side of the radio under the stick in the center of its movement? If not, put back to center and then check. A little bit of left or right trim here is okay. If excessive amounts of trim are needed, look at page 26 in your manual and adjust the pot on the receiver labelled "RUD NT" If the heli turns to the left, turn the pot to the right and vice versa.
let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks all is OK It was doing the Toilet Bowl effect because the battery was running low. This Heli flies great now. What a machine.

I see, also look at the pitch linkage to the flybar. The ball link ends need to be centered on both balls to stop the toilet bowl effect you described. If they are off, the linkage will bind and giving the effect.
We are looking at an initial release of Mid March and probably being up to full speed by April I would guess. Like any new product, there is a ramp up time for availability.
I know I like playing with mine. For a beginner, it would be the ideal trainer if 400 size helis and nitro are in your plans and you want something inexpensive and easy to repair to learn on that is more representative of the 400 and nitro size helis. This would have been my starter heli, less cost than a nitro to start with, capable of flying indoors in my living room and backyard, safe as the blades will not hurt my furniture (or me!), cheap and easy to repair in a basic blade strike, very portable to work etc., and in the long run cheaper and more beneficial than even our own coaxial.

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
I hope the rumor that's floating around my LHS isn't accurate, but they say The Quark won't be in the US until mid to late April. You know what that means, we'll be lucky to see it here by May! []

OH, its HERE already, but MRC is being tight with them sofar, and despite my direct contact witht hem, I can't seem to get ahold of one.........
grrrr.
ohwell.
By the time its "Available" I won't want it anymore as there will be somethign better, or "knock-off" and better in price.

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
Hi,
I am a beginner and had flied with cx2 before. I don't like it. My friend recommend Hirobo. I am thinking about either XRB Sky Robo R/C Mini Shuttle or XRB Lama Complete Package - Red Mode II?
Which one is easier to fly in door?
thanks

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
Hi Jeff and others..
I have also some minor problems with a wandering rudder. My heli starts to turn clockwise. Every time when I start my Quark after some time (cooldown) I need to put rudder trim to middle or even a bit to left. Then when I start flying, soon I need to start moving slowly my rudder trimmer to right. Usually after I've started to fly it takes about 1 min to fly and then my trimmer is set to all right.
On this case I always take Quark close to me, shut it down and restart it so Gyro will reset it, put trimmer to middle and start flying. After that I usually only need to make small adjustments towards right the rest of my flying time till battery is empty.
I did try few days ago to adjust Rud Nt trim from receiver but it didn't help so now it's back to original factory levels.
All other trimms are about middle, after my first setup, I never touched them. Well no need even
Been thinking if I should try to calibrate my gyro again with calibrating procedures??
Anyone else have this kinda features or behavior?
In generally, I just looooove that heli, it is really nice [8D][8D]

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
What don't you like the CX2? Not easy to fly in-door? Both XRB should be the same and easier to fly than CX2.

Just got my SRB Quark today and I love it. It is not cheap for its size but it flies like a dream. I personally love micro helis so this is at the top of my list. Excellent quality throughout. With Hirobo you really get what you pay for. I just ordered an ARTF version without the TX. Yes ,I love it that much!!

Hey jrizzle,
I echo your comments! Just got mine on Friday, I can't get enough of this little bird!!
I already am scrambling for more battery packs!
I totally agree, the quality is fantastic, and it's worth every penny!!
People think I'm crazy to have spent that much on a micro...but this isn't just any micro heli!!
Are you still using the Hirobo battery packs? Or did you go with something else?
Keep in touch, maybe I can learn something!
I LOVE MY QUARK !!

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
Hi jpkh,
Thanks for the great link, very interesting!
I am still trying to decide on which batteries to go with.
Found some nice ones at Horzon, the Thunder Power ones, but they have no balancing connector?
I guess they would work, but I was hoping to find some that have a balancing connector on them.
The one link to Tower hobbies shows a nice Electrifly pack, but the dimensions look a tad bit large for the Quark's battery tray...
Thanks again for the link!
Glenn

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
jrizzle,
I'll have to keep that in mind, I have only flown mine indoors so far....how well do these little birds fly in a bit of wind?
It has plenty of speed for indoors right out of the box...but I imagine outside it wouldn't seem so as much.
What batteries are you using?
Have you any idea of the tail motor lifespan on these gems?
I really love this little heli, about the only drawback is the FM radio. I wish it had a 2.4 Ghz radio setup.
Take care,
Glenn

RE: Hirobo SRB Quark
I just use the stock battery for now. Really as long as it is a light wind mine flys great outside and can really get going pretty fast. When I changed the control arm to the outer position it really got better forward flight outdoors. I am going to play with some of the control board settings next to see if I can customize it more. It is alot of fun outside with little wind!!!!
