Default Shift Select Supreme Rx

I recently purchased a flight pack with the shift selectable Supreme RX for use with my Airtronics Stylus. After setting it up for the Airtronics positive shift, I found that I needed the battery/channel 7 slot for the second aileron servo. Now I have two questions:

Can I use the channel 7 slot for just the second aileron servo and plug my battery into any unused channel to power the system (5 standard Hitec servos), or must I use a "Y" harness for channel 7 for battery and servo connection.

What happens if I use an unused channel for battery power? I am chasing a glitching problem with the selectable Supreme and I am trying to eliminate possible causes one at a time. The radio is in a Great Planes Tiger Moth with an Enya four stroke so I don't have to worry about ignition issues

Thanks for any insight
Kurtr

Any channel can be used to power the RX. All the power pins negative and or positive are interconnected via a buss or a trace on the PCB. It matters not which you ultimately choose to power the system.

Michael,
Thanks for the quick reply. It helped to rule out a possible glitch cause. I'll continue to investigate the installation for other possible glitch causes.

Best Regards,
Kurtr
