they're all built in a 2 speed gearbox, you've got to disassemble to change 2nd gear shift point I believe....

Did a few upgrades/repairs over the last few days:
New TVPs from SoCalCrew.com
Triple Rate Springs from Full Force RC
Carbon Zero Deg. Rear Toe Links from Full Force RC
Dirt Bonz on Warlock Rims
Rebuilt the diffs changed all diff cups and tranny cups.
New dog bones
Re did throttle/brake mod. Old one was thrown together.
Threw together my PVC truck stand.
Started on new shell (Chevy 2500 HD) Green one in background.

Nick, for carbon fiber here are a few sources:

Turnbuckles and hingepins: JDCarbon, he used to sell on ebay but I think he doesnt anymore, his site is still up so I'm assuming hes still in business. I have his buckles and pins and they are top notch! I got the turnbuckles for $11 shipped and pins for $3 shipped[8D] But his regular prices are expensive..

Fullforce R/C: They make carbon TVP's, hingepin braces which I want too, and something else I forgot.

There are a few others but I cant seem to remember, if I do I'll post again

Finished my new shell this morning:

Love the shell drivefastgto. Most of those I see people do not take the time to spray the jerry cans. Looks really nice!

Thanks a lot. I just had to paint the cans-why get such a cool shell and not detail it?

BTW, I brush-painted the cans and fenders...no airbrush or experience with such. [sm=red_smile.gif]

I do all my shells with a rattle can. I have only done solid color so far, but for something that is only going to last a month or two I see no reason to put hours of work into them anyway.

does anybody know where I can find those little wire, or strings that are attached to the body pins like the one on parputt537`s truck. They look cool; or did he just make it himself? if so what did he make from.

oh, and does the receiver still work ok even with the antenna pipe bent in like that, cause I have a B-17 betty body that my parents got me for christmas and I think it looks cooler without the antenna whole. I want to know this before I paint it. I am going to post pics of my truck after I paint my body and a couple of other stuff come in the mail.

body clip retainer's from dubro.
part #'s then you can get them where ever.

all my trucks have the antenna tucked under the body.
as for distance. i have no problems being at least 200 ft away.

mounting the antenna.
not sure what this part was meant for but this is how i used it.

My antenna wire is pretty short, it doesn't need to be long with a Spektrum. That's why I tucked it under the rollbar.[8D]

The wires I use are actually 6inch stainless fishing leader (coated in black plastic of some kind). I had the dubro ones, but they just ripped after a day of bashing. You can get a pack of leaders for nothing and they last forever. Just cut the swivels off the end and put you clips on. Use a zip tie to secure to body. I have a set on my old body that have outlasted the body.

My 4.6 RTR, only had it a few days, engine broken in fine, tuned to near perfection ( much better for tuning than a trx 2.5 ! ), added some GRP Dish wheels with tyres , have the porsche cayenne hpi shell ready to paint black/yellow just need to make myself some vinal masks up.

Be nice..

Lol, who doesn't love that color combo! Here's my Savage X SS, just a 14 year old kid messing around with masking tape and rattle cans.
