WOW....
THAT THING IS CRAZY [8D]
But hows it handle bashing? I would think with just little bolts holding the shocks that it really couldn't handle to big of jumps.. So the need for all that wouldn't be worth it...
But it really looks sick

No, no, no - the second set of rear shocks are not necessary at all. The truck can be run with 2 rear shocks - as long as I switch the rear springs over to stiffer RC Raven springs (I have a pair for the rear) and put in thicker oil. The front springs are the RC Raven springs. The front shocks have the RC Raven springs (stiffer than the black LST springs) and are filled with 40wt oil. When I run the truck with 2 rear shocks, they are set up the same way as the fronts.

When running 4 rear shocks, I use the black LST springs and fill the shocks with 25 wt oil.

The truck jumps & bashes fine - the shell looks new in the pics 'cause I took the photos right after I finished that shell. It's pretty torn up now, lol. The truck has survived plenty of cartwheels, endo's, botched jumps ... and more.

That RB TM928 engine is amazing, too. The truck is also fitted with a 3-Speed and is also mid-tanked, obviously. The next mod will be the new 3rd gear set.

The shell is from Pro-Line. It's the longer '70 Chevy pickup, part number 3227-00.

The quadruple rear shocks are mostly for looks. It occured to me that with the extended wheelbase there was enough space to run an extra set of shocks. I thought it might help out a bit with bash landings. It looks cool too, right? LOL

They are not IRC's aluminum shocks. I wanted black shocks. The LOSI "Aftershock" truck comes with black plastic shocks ... that's where these shocks came from. I don't have the part number handy ... shouldn't be too tough to figure out, though.

A few more pics...

That is a really sweet ride you've made. Did you make the paint masks yourself? You did a really great job!

I think I would have to save that body shell for when it sits on the shelf. I couldn't bear to brake it!

Thanks man.

Yep, I did the paint masks myself. Everything you see is paint - the skull on the roof, all the white scallops, the "DEATH PROOF" lettering across the hood's edge ... the only exception is the "DEATH PROOF" lettering across the tailgate. Each letter on the tailgate is a sticker that I cut from a white sheet. I used an exacto knife. Not too tough to do that part.

This shell is already pretty banged up. Cartwheels on pavement are B A D for body shells, eh? Whoda thunk it? LOL

The RB TM928 engine can flip the truck right over on it's lid - like that wheelie bar wasn't even there. So, the roof is really scratched up now, too. Oh well ... it was fun ...

I have another Chevy shell waiting on a paint job ... I'm pretty sure that I'm going to make another "DEATH PROOF" shell. I have some ideas on how to refine the details a bit.

I just put mine back together with the upgrades. Here it is with the new Pro Line 40 series rims and the Big Joe tires.

Here it is with the "handle" (I didn't have one before), the clear servo box cover, and new air filter.

Another shot with the Axial 28 put back in.

Your Big Joe's are mounted backwards or you have the left and right mixed up.

If there is a need for speed then 20t clutchbell is good, but like INTEGRA stated things will wear out much quicker. I ran a 20t with a 46t spur and man was that thing fast, kind hard to control but fast. Clutch shoes lasted about 1 month and a half running about 3 to 4 times a week.
