BudBud - Yeah thanx ! reminds me alot of the people that drive around in my town too hahaha.
Gearing? 14t cb and 52 spur, but i think i still gota go down some more. What would u recommend? the tires are 7" tall! and weight as much as my buddies big joes hes got.

I have not weighed it exactly, but they will weigh less than any metal cages available out there. If I had to guess, a little heavier than the standard lexan body, probably the same weight as a fiber glass tape reinforced body shell. You have to remember that these cages does not catch wind like a body shell, so better aerodynamics, better access for starting/ tuning and visual inspections to components than any other cages, and superior protection like no body shell can offer. You will rip hundreds of shells before you put a nick on this.

HAHA....awsome possum TBJ...i was thinkin the same thing...that's a nice cage....but kinda fugly...how does it mount ?...check out My old pics and see what you could come up with for a redesign....and Nylon rod and delrin rod are very similar in strength and weight....But i went with the delrin cuz the plastic man told me it would be better

I've seen your cages integra...much respect man...it's all over savage-central...
My design is more for stock platforms, as most cages I've seen are for extended TVPs with the mid tank mods. My cage also protects front and rear suspension caps. Fugly?...lol, Don't know about it man....My savage looks more like a larger true to scale buggy than a little toy truck.... Basically a buggy, with rock crawler looks and MonsterTruck capabiltiies...In simple words...OFF ROAD RC Vehicles all rolled up into one SAVAGE.
BTW Delrin is only superior to Nylon in high precision applications such as spur gears becuase it has high creep, chemical, and temperature resistance...The cage is not subjected to any of these as it is such a low precison application. Delrin is also only a brand name, the correct name for the material is ACETAL. It would be like asking for Colgate instead of looking for Toothpaste.

This body is pretty much unbreakable. The Polycarbonate/Lexan that Axial uses for their heavy duty bodies seems to be a bit thicker and stronger than the Lexan Pro-line uses. It has a roll cage built in and it actually looks good too!

The cages are available in the MA1N5TORE shop at ebay, search for savage roll cage. I have limited stock as they are very difficult to fabricate, but going a lot cheaper than the RC solutions and vantage, but more superior than both put together. Just the accessibility, these cage WINS by LAPS.
