My 5 years old son is sooo eager to drive it, every day sits front of the sava and checking it out

Hello all I've just finihed putting my Savage xx s kit together. I have a question about the fuel tank. It seems very loose to me. I placed the o-rings under the tank. But it still seems to flop around too much. Is the tank supposed to be that loose??? Thank you for your time.
Yep. The tanks have always been loose. They get worse as the holes wear.

5 year old and Savage don't sound like a good combination.

He trained with firestorm earlier and i must admit, he drived quite good (modern youngs, they have computers and all) and also he bashed it harder than me I didnt broke nothing from firestorm, but my son broke clutch, but i think it was only a bad luck and once he drived to the three... nothing else [sm=eek.gif]

Back to sava, today we finished the breaking in. And car was soooo rich, idling went good, but no chance to drive, couldnt even tap the throtle. But i think this is normal... next time must set it leaner...
I noticed that he bottom of the truck is very vulnerable and saw that there is some plates for sale. What do you think, is it neccessary to cover the bottom ?

I have the Savage 25 with the K4.6 (aftermarket). I also got the 3-speed for it which I'm not too crazy about. It had aluminum rims but I sold them to my buddie. I plan on doing a few more things to it like better exhaust, locker for rear diff, new body, high torque servos etc. There nice trucks

Smalltown, Why are you not crazy for the 3 speed? I'm interested in it for my savvy and would like to hear what you think. Thanks

I like the 3 speed and all for the most part, but it seems to have sloppy shifting to it. It makes a nice difference from take off and at top end, but I found myself to always be tweaking it. I liked the 2-speed because it slammed into second. But I realized the loss of performance from when it still had the 3-speeder on it. So I'm gonna throw it back on for a while and see if it tickles my fancy this time. [sm=50_50.gif]

This might seem like an odd question, but I own a savage 4.6 and I have had it for about 4 months, I am new to rc nitro`s but I enjoy them alot. The round purple gascet on my savage which is between the header and the engine is starting to turn black, but it all started after I used after run oil which was recommended to me by lots of people, I keep my filter clean, and don`t abuse my engine, but I don`t know why it looks charred, my engine run good and I run a tad richer just for safety since I do wide open running. Any idea why this is happening, I don`t want it to get seriouse or if it is anything serious. Please respond, you guys seem to know what your talking about. Thanks, Im still a noob and I need help in certian areas.

that sounds normal, its just a wear item like brakes or a clutch...you'll have to replace it now and then
