Come back to ThunderbirdJunkie, Freeze.
It's lonely without you, and the bed is too warm
In all seriousness, though...Heat up the other diff before you take it apart to release the loctite. use your soldering iron on the diff case itself where the screws go in.

So what have you actually done to this thing that requires the creation of multiple build threads and a whole lot of drama?

I'm just asking what you've actually DONE to the truck. All I've seen in pictures is basic maintenance.

Its a work in progress/build thread, nothing more. Ignore it if its not up to your standards.

But, what have you done to it so far?
But, what have you done to it so far?
1) Took some parts off
2) Swapped a gear in the tranny for a HD variant.
3) Put different shock fluid in his shocks, and put some covers on them
4) Put diff oil in his diffs, and in the process of doing so stripped a screw
I think that sums up the 1st 3 pages of work quite nicely.
I find it ironic real builds get less attention than these what I want to call basic maintenance "build" threads
Freeze I'm not trying to belittle your work in progress but so far there has been no real build yet just basic maintenance. I don't see why you didn't wait to start posting till you had most of the parts and post the start in one go doing so probably would have stopped most of the negative comments you are receiving across the forums.

ThunderbirdJunkie finds it funny that his Savage has never garnered a negative comment since March 2006, yet yours is constantly attacked.
Wondering why that is?

2) Swapped a gear in the tranny for a HD variant.

This is just the start of his build. I am sure it will get better as the basics are over.

I think Freeze's thread is great. It will be a great help to some noobs, who are just starting in the hobby.
