Hi George, what disks do you have apart from the main AFPD disk? Can you tell me the version number printed on your main AFPD disk?

Pls try the following: in the flying menu, under view1->viewing options what is your setting for the height dependant vertical camera? Try reducing the % of the "height dependant vertical camera" to between 50 and 100.

Mike,
It's a good thing you're not handy or I'd kiss ya !!!!!!!!!!!! You hit it right on the nose. That worked fabulously. Now I have my old sim back.
I can't thank you enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you can tell, I'm a pretty happy camper.
Thanks much !,

I read through this thred but not all 12 pages. I tried to search the AFPD forum but did not get any results. I want to change the CG of a plane but do not see where to do it in the edit mode. The only way I can see to do it is to make the tail surfaces heavier. Is there a way to put in a # value for the CG?

Hi rcflyer, in the aircraft edit menu, go to objects->fuselage->cg editor

In the CG editor there are 3 boxes with values when you access the fuse area. The three values in the cg editor are the cg position with respect to an arbitary reference point. The first value moves the cg forward (positive values) and backwards (negative values), the second to the left (+) and right (-) and the third value up(+) and down (-).

I just downloaded the indoor "seeparksaal" and I can see the plane when I run it but the rest of the screen is black. I have this with another scene "vettre" too but all the others I've downloaded work fine. Any suggestions?

Hi rcflyer, I downloaded and flew in the scenery without issues. What type of 3D graphics card are you using? Have you updated the card driver?

I just downloaded the new drives but those 2 scenes still don't work.

I have an ATI All-In-Wonder 2006 card.

Don't know if it matters but the version of AFPD I have is 1.8.21 and I did not download the Patch Version 1.11.07.09
because I didn't know if I have a 3D-card with OpenGL 2.0 driver support.

Hi rcflyer, please take a look at the recommended openGL-compatible 3D video cards here http://www.aerofly.com/www/requirements.html The card you are using is not recommended and this will cause problems as you have experienced. On the patch, if you do not have any addons, then patch 1.8.0.25 will be suitable.

This is what it stated on the site
ATI XPert / ATI All In Wonder / ATI Rage (this accounts only for the old 7xxx series. The 9xxx series is highly recommended!)

The card I have is (2006 Edition) is newer then the 9xxx series and has 256 mb

I haven't bought any addons but I do have planes and scenery that I have downloaded from other sites. Everything works fine except for those 2 scenes. I would hate to download the patch and find things not working.

Question on AFPD. Somehow in configuring the simulator, the selected rotating model on the main panel now has dark grey on the upper wing and tail and the fuselage. Reloading has not solved the problem. A downloaded model (diabolo) did not show the same coloration. The system config is this.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800, 2 GB Memory, ATI Radeon X1900GT, Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS, Windows XP.

Aerofly version 1.11.7.9 with addons 1,2,3. Disk 1 and 2 are version 1.11.7.1

And there is that BOUNCING when the Fly or Reset is selected.

Hi riverrrun, please visit the ATI website and donwload/install the latest driver for your video card. You might also want to update the driver for your sound card.

Thank you Maarten, the sound was ok, and the video was ok when I installed AFPD but after
I posted to you, errors were coming up. Upon receiving your answer I deleted and installed and it is now correct.
1. BUT what about the HOPPING when the sim starts? Can this be corrected by an option setting?
2. Global scaling is needed. If I change wingspan and LOA, will engine size be changed? I would like to scale down
come of the full size models to match the Aztec.
3. What about minimum (idle) engine speed?
4. On the side of the Antonov AN-2 there is a girl with no knickers and "Ahacmacust" painted on the side.
What is the translation? This is from Addon3.

Hi riverrrun, my answers are in brackets below:

1. BUT what about the HOPPING when the sim starts? Can this be corrected by an option setting?
[This can't be corrected and will be addressed in the next version. It is not an issue in most cases]

2. Global scaling is needed. If I change wingspan and LOA, will engine size be changed? I would like to scale down
come of the full size models to match the Aztec.
[There is no automatic scaling. You may change the engine power in the model edit menu]

3. What about minimum (idle) engine speed?
[You can set the idle speed in the model edit menu]

4. On the side of the Antonov AN-2 there is a girl with no knickers and "Ahacmacust" painted on the side.
What is the translation? This is from Addon3.
[Sorry, I have no idea. Perhaps some one can chip in]

This time around, I am sure that the sound card and computer are working o.k. I have tested audio in 5.1, Real Flight in two speaker, but Aerofly Pro Deluxe works on center channel only. Cannot find any options to make it anything but on or off. You will probably say, put it back the way it was, which is working without center channel. THEN, I got two channel sound, but it was an incorrect hookup!

Found the answer. This Aerofly is so unique (primitive? ha!) that it only likes a two speaker arrangement. The 5.1 defaults to center speaker and though the sound is not as full there is still some doppler effect.

I have always hated one thing about AFPD. When hovering and you give it throttle and back off the spool down of the prop takes way too long and continues to pull the plane up for 2 seconds as it spools down. HOW DO I FIX THIS? I noticed the Yaks don't do it.......

Hi.
I have a problem with my AFPD.
I installed all updates and when I fly, all surfaces are moving rondomelly, something I didn't have as problem. I installed in another PC and everything is fine. Do you know what could cause such a problem?
Best
