My newly installed AFP will not recognize the commander, only the 9-pin interface cable. The computer sees the commander and I can calibrate it as a game input. Therefore I can not use AFP!!!!!!!!!! What can I do?????????

I have tried it both ways.
1) when both are plugged in at the same time, it only recognizes the 9-pin
2) when only teh 15-pin commander is plugged in, the computer sees it, but AFP does not.
3) when only the 9-pin is connected, all is well other than having to turn my TX on. Wont work with my TX off.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

For starters they must both be plugged in.
However these cables are on seperate ports, they should not interfere with one another.
The question that I have is that this is newly installed Commander version. The Commander version has been out of stock for some time. Did you purchase it from a friend?
Which radio are you using.

1) Using a Futaba 6TXH.
2) I purchased it last week from my local hobby shop. I assumed it was a new version as they have been out of stock for a while and now have them again. How can I tell?
3) When both are connected at the same time it only recoginizes the 9-pin.
Hopefully we can get this sorted out. Thanks.

Are you running windows XP?
You have the first version of AFP with Commander. There is a new version coming with Commander. It's AeroFlyPro Deluxe.

Well the serial port and 15 game port are 2 different ports. The problem is that they are sharing IRQ's most likely, this is a Window's sharing issue.
You need to diagnose the ports and assign them their own IRQ's.
