Guys:
It's fixed with new gear on already. I'm just debating if I should repaint the bottom or just fly it.
Rob it was the 36%. landed hard but straight down so just ripped out the gear. I will check all the servo's to make sure nothing stripped but. I look at it this way I wanted to take the engine out to put in the smoke system anyway. Just didn't want it to cost $140 for new gear.[&o].
Have fun Albert. I'm home sick today maybe I'll go out to Shawnee on sunday.
Pics are before and after glass and putty.

RE: 40% Carden extra pics.
It flew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I put on four flights today and will be flying again tomorrow. It's the closest to a pattern plane I've ever flown. If I had to pick one thing I like the most is the way it snaps. It doesn't loose heading and it stops on a dime. I tried the airmodels 29 x 12 three blade and it's super quiet. I liked this prop until I tried the mejzlik 30 x 12. To my surprise the 30 x 12 was very quiet in the air. This is my first 40% and the power to weight is better than on my 35% which makes me very happy.
Airmodels 29 x 12- 5230 RPMs
Mezjlik 30 x 12- 5920 RPMs
Rob, finish yours you will love this airplane.

Albert,
If you have a Mezjlik 32x10, give it a try. It is the prop of choice for IMAC on the DA-150. I've got one on my 40% Carden Extra and it is a fantastic, relatively quiet prop. The 30x12 would probably be better for windy days.
Enjoy a great airplane.

RE: 40% Carden extra pics.
Papandrea, you flew Albert's Extra and it is still in one piece?!?!?!?!? I wonder if Albert knows how lucky he is....
And to think I've really nice to you lately[X(]! Don't you have something better to do besides sit around and harass people on the net <g>? Maybe you should go build one of those 17 Staudacher kits you have laying around that will prob never see sky <vbg>. I mean no one else in the country bought a Krill kit besides you so you might as well at least make an attempt to build one....I mean the Staud you bought fro me like 12 years ago hasn't flown yet and it was all framed when I sent it! Come on now...let's go!
Oh yea...I doubt Albert knows how lucky he was....I think I fooled he pretty well <lol>!

Kevin,
the repair looks fine. Just fly it!!
Albert
So glad the flights went so well. I spend most of today sanding and polishing the gear! I wonder who inspired me to do that???
Maybe the first of the monokote will start going on by Wed.

RE: 40% Carden extra pics.
Hey guys,
Albert even let me fly it! The biggest thing I flew before his 40% was a .46 U-Can-Do. Needless to say I was a little tense. But boy those big birds do fly a lot nicer than the little stuff.
You guys sure do know how to get a guy to spend his money.....I'm shopping for a DA-100 as I write......
Now which 35% to buy??? Decisions...decisions
LOL!
