If you ordered them from Kirbys Kustom Graphics they send some instructions on how to put them correctly!! I recently ordered some, but never read them! [&o][&o] I think I still have them somewhere!
Let me know, I can make a copy and send them to you!
Keep flying,

Chris,
The "windex" method works just fine. I picked up a small "squeegee" from Sign-O-Rama but you can use any straight edge that isn't sharp to squeeze out the windex once the graphic is down.

Msot of the good quality vinyl graphics come in a 3 layer sheet.
The actual graphic is in the middle.
Take the 3 layered graphic and set it into position. Make a Hinge out of masking by taping the top edge of the graphic to the plane.
Fold the graphic up by the hinge, remove the back part exposing the sticky side of the graphic and then just roll the graphic into place. It will be right where you want since you taped it in place with the hinge. Also, by rolling it into position you should have no air bubbles.

If you are still looking for an answer, try soap and water. Add a drop of dish detergent in a spray bottle of water. Spray both surfaces, place your graphic on the aircraft, move it around to where you want it . Take a squeeze and remove as much water as you can, allow it to dry in the sunlight if possible, wait about 10 - 24 hours before moving the graphics. Once completely dry it will not move.
The soap and water trick is also use to put tint on car windows. It works great.
Good luck.............

While all the methods will work I have found the commercially available application fluids to be superior. If you need to reposition it is no problem. Window cleaner, soap, etc, will work however there are times it will stick and you will have the problem mentioned (ripping). This can be really an advantage when working on a 12' sign or a 40% aircraft. I try to assist the installation for the first try as it's new techniques. Most things aren't difficult once we learn the process.
Hope to see you at some NE IMAC meets soon. I loved the 40% photos and hope to have mine in the air soon.

I used a touch of liquid soap with water in a spray bottle when I put on my sukhoi wing graphics, I put the graphic on the wet wing, squegee'd it really good, and left it for a while, coming back to it speezing out a bit more water, once it dried enough I could pull the transfer paper off. Came out perfect no bubbles, but typically I do it without the soapy water.
