Let's give credit where credit is due. This is the work of Sean Plummer of Aero-Model / Hacker fame. Yuri will test fly the plane, but the equipment and technology is pure Plummer.

Note - He is glider scum and likes to fly planes with NO MOTOR OR ENGINE. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw that 42% 260!!

But it IS impressive to say the least.

It's my understanding that Andy designed the yellow JR scheme that he has on his big YAK and that he did so for last year's JR Challenge for the Extra's- the first one sold was sold at the JR Challange to Mike Brown who is also a local DC area flyer.

I kinda think all these "Super-Whammy-Triple_throw-Down-Whiz-Bang-Hoochie-Momma" paint schemes are a distraction. I kinda like the finishes used by the likes of Patty, Sean (Tucker that is), Leroy etc. I know they are common and people get tired of'em, but the recent trend just seems to be gaudy... a distraction.. I wonder if judges like'em better or prefer more straight forward finishes... Although.. there was that Sukhoi painted like a tiger that was cool!!!

Holy SheeOT does Yuri do some nice work - on the planes and on the sticks!! I have only seen the pics until today. Happenstance ran into Yuri and Sean Plummer. Saw their TBM 42% Von Extra up close today... it was HACKER powered!! There is a thread going on RCU with pics about it. Saw Yuri fly his 40% Comp Arf at the usual 2 inches off the ground..! UN F'n believable. I have never seen a nicer finish job anywhere on that TBM.. I won't say where just to respect their privacy, but he's around the valley.

That Von Extra is a work of art and that power pack is INSANE!

Its not often one gets to see one of the best in the business with no distractions.. there were only a handful of people to see the spectacle!! Very cool!
