Default 9303 program problems(me)

Hey guys....Danny I just went through the H9 Ultra Stick and I am having problems. I am using the downloaded programming guide fo the 9303 for the H9 Ultra Stick.

First why can I not turn off the Elev to flap mix..... it mixes the up flap to up elev All THE time...it would be fun for tight loops but I can't get it to shut off for normal flying.

Second I'm having trouble with the Aileron to Flap mix I have set it up as per direction and the top right flip switch turns it on and off but no matter what I do the Flaps go in the opposite direction as the ailerons. I have walk through the directions 3 times now. I really would like full ailerons for some quick spins and for slow landings need the prop wash on the Ailerons surfaces.

Since I was having trouble with the Elev to flap mix I went back and took all the values out shut it off because I could not find out how or what switch controlled it...........does this have an effect on the Aileron to flap problem I'm having.

Thanks in advance........... sheeeese this thing is kicking my A__ I had my 8103 set up this way and even had crow but the 9303 is beating me up.

Dave.

BTW the H9....9303 and the G26 look great.

The elevator to flap mix is to be assigned to the MIX switch (back right hand side), then set the pos 1 values as needed.

Elevator to Flap Mixing
Move the roller until ELE->FLP M is highlighted, and press down on the roller to enter the function. Rotate the roller until MIX is highlighted; press down on the roller to move the shaded box under MIX to the top or Pos 1. Rotate the roller until DN is highlighted next to Pos1. Press down on the roller, and rotate the roller until you get to about 35 percent. If the flaps go down with down elevator, reverse the value from +35 to –35 or vice versa. Press the roller again after you have finished setting the DN percentage, and then move the roller to the right so that UP is selected and press down on the roller. Rotate the roller until you get to about 35 percent. If the flaps go up, reverse the value from +35 to –35 or vice versa. This will give you flaps mixed to the elevator for tight loops, etc.

To reverse the direction of the flaps as ailerons reverse the value of the mix from a + to a - value or vice versa as needed.

Thanks Danny..... hear is an up date...........I have just completed all direction up to Aileron to flap mix and Flap mix to Aileron the last 2 section. At this point every things work perfect, I have Ailerons on the outboard(both sides)proper direction, elevator(normal)rudder (Normal) I have down flaps in position 1 and full down flaps in position 2 and it gives me 1/4 inch down elev. With all switches in o position and moving the far back/right switch forward I have flaps coupled to the elev I get up flaps if I pull up elev for tight loops.

I'm confused of how all the rest of the direction are tied to this switch also.......

AT this point if I program the last 2 sections Aile to flap and flap to Ailer it goes nuts..............after programing IF I PULL THE FAR/RIGHT/BACK SWITCH FORWARD the flaps go opposite of each other and reverse of the ailerons IF I use the aileron control stick the Ailerons go up the 3/4 inch.........and if I pull UP on the elevator the flaps go down the same amount the elevator goes up..........other than the flaps opposite of each other and opposite of Ailer I understand this is normal......

Right now I'm thinking of flying just like it is and just not have FULL strip AILERON or the Crow type feature. IS their any way just to add FULL STRIP AILERON to a switch and not have ANY OF the crow feature...........

I really only want FULL STRIP AILERON over what I (first paragraph)have now I would trade off all this crow(up elev,...down flap ....up elev) and even up flap to the elev if I could get it)

I've owned JR for 6 years now 8103 to the 9303 and had my 8103 programmed just like this on a SR telmaster so I've been hear before and your direction only took me 15min or so on the 8103..........I've been at this 9 hours over 2 days ..........RANT over..........

I understand you last line of a+ a- so all give that a try.....

Thanks Again

My only guess is that you do not have the aileron to flap mix set up properly. The right hand rear switch activates both the elevator to flap mixing and the aileron to flap mixing.

Aileron to Flap Mixing
Scroll through the menu until PROG. Mix 3 is highlighted and select it by pressing the roller. Press the CLR key to activate the mix, rotate the roller until the first channel is highlighted (it should say THRO), press down on the roller, rotate the roller until AILE is highlighted, and press the roller again. Rotate the roller until the second channel is highlighted (it should say THRO), press down on the roller, rotate the roller until FROL is highlighted, and press the roller again. Rotate the roller until MIX is highlighted, and press the roller to move the shaded box to the top under MIX. Rotate the roller until you get to Pos1, and set both values to +100% by pressing the roller, then rotating the roller while holding the aileron stick in one direction, then move the aileron stick in the other direction and repeat.

As I mentioned in the last post, if your flaps are moving opposite to the ailerons reverse the mix value from + to - or vice versa.

If you don't want the crow functions simply do not set them up, set the flap system values to 0 and don't set up the rest of the mixing.
