RE: Great Planes Extra 330L Build
You're going to maiden this weekend, right? Got the carbon tube, receivers, servo programmer, and other bits so it's time for setup and a few other little details, then covering.
A Happy New Year to you too.

Thanks fella's. The spinner came out of the package polished, it is an MPI, they are good spinners and not nearly as costly as some of the others on the market. It will need polishing in time, typically i use Semi-Chrome to polish them.
Certainly will try to get some video of the maiden.
Looking forward to more pictures of your build Don and any others that may be in the works.

Thanks again! The best i can tell using a bathroom scale it weighs right at 29 pounds. I need to break down and buy a good digital. The digital scale i have only goes up to 11 pounds.
Mike, no i have started it yet, so will report back to you on how that goes. I am hoping it will hand start without any problems.

RE: Great Planes Extra 330L Build
I finished the wing mounting a couple of nights ago. I was going to use 1 nylon bolt and a peg with a cotter pin in it, but after I finished the first screw hole I decided I may as well use another nylon bolt instead of the peg/cotter pin. I added ply insets for the control horns on the tail surfaces and drilled the control horn holes. I also added ply insets for the stab bolts above and below the stab. I will tap the stab holes per plans, but will use a bolt long enough for me to add a lock nut on the underside. I added two more hinges for the rudder, and bobbed the lower tip of the rudder. The canopy is glued up, but the canopy/fuse gap needs some epoxy/microballoon action. I still need to inset ply for the aileron horns, come up with a tank/electronics tray, route ignition/throttle/choke and then I will start covering and painting. Final colors will be corsair blue, deep red, and white. I think the scheme is a variation of yours. I see it on several different Extras with differing colors.

Nice modifications Don. I am thinking i am still going to change the wing alignment dowels to carbon fiber or aluminum. The humidity is up again and the wood dowels are making very difficult to assemble and disassemble the wings to the fuse. [:'(]

I saw that on the ACP web site. Google led me to this site. $9 for rod $10 for shipping. Not bad, got one on order. http://dragonplate.com/ecart/product...ID=4514&cID=39
Thanks for your help!

RE: Great Planes Extra 330L Build
Hi guys, does anyone have a copy of the instruction manual for this planeas I didnt receive one with mine. I have this item: http://www.nitroplanes.com/90a209r-v2.html
Also, has anyone changed the servos around so they can be mounted inside the elevator rather than to the side of the fuselage? If so, how was this done.
Thanks guys,
Hadleigh.
