Yeah, check out that thread posted earlier in this thread, it's good reading!

From what I can tell, there are some that say they take your money and never ship anything, then there are others that say that it may take 6-9 months or longer, but they eventually get their order. I guess you have no choice but to wait and see.

There are a couple of plan that I would like to order, but I'm kind of leery of placing an order. I think the safe way is to use a major credit card (not a debit card) when you place your order. When it doesn't show up in say 30 days, submit a claim to your card issuer and they will issue a charge back to RCM Plans and you'll get your money back.

It really is sad that the service is so poor. If they can't fill orders in a timely manner, why not just sell the rights to all of the plans so someone with the desire and the means can get it going again. It sure wouldn't be enough of an income for a full time job, but for someone retired and looking for extra income, it might not be a bad deal.

I have not seen any response of a recently (within 6mos) delivery of an order. I was a long term customer and suffered through the period of glacial response (except billing, they are real quick at getting the money). Then I had an order that went on limbo far beyond the usual 3- 6mo delivery. One of our own got really earnest in trying to contact them. I think that is the only reason I got my plans was due to his efforts. That was maybe 10mos ago. I have seen no announcement of delivery of plans since then. I do not think that there is any expectation of delivery now. Many of us have tried various legal channels with no response. They apparently still have a web site taking money. Over the years they have occasionally cited a computer failure, Trojan, virus and so on....whatever.

I'am still waiting for my RCM magazines that I paid for 5 or 6 yrs. back...... just before they folded! No refund, no books, no apologies, no morals! I'am over it now, but I still hope they rot in hell.

Am I the only person who does a little research on a company, before I send them money ?

With all the exposure that this issue has received, it's hard to understand how anyone would still be taken by this outfit.

We have to learn how to be responsible buyers. It makes more sense to do a little investigation before we send out our hard earned cash, than to ask questions after the fact.

Tom, its a case of the fliers are so honest we forget sometimes not everyone in the business end is as honest as their customers. My LHS owner and sole proprietor has commented on this to me many times. He is airplane and helicopter only, no cars or anything else. He says he has no second thoughts of walking next door to get change, a coke, whatever, and leaving the shop to be minded by a regular who happened to stop by. He has never been disappointed. It's kind of fun when another regular calls and doesn't recognize the voice!

oh I absolutely do not think the RCM people are intentional crooks, I believe they are victims of poor health and its possible there has been a death/deaths and no one knows about it.

I didn't get too upset about delivery time as even four years ago, they were VERY slow and never answered phones or e-mail. I always got my plans. Then it went completely off the deep end. I felt lucky to get my order...funny, I got a discount offer for my next order to compensate me for the 1yr delivery. Like I was about to try that again! I have not seen anyone report a successful transaction in a long time. They must be maintaining the web site and billing. I do think this has gone beyond incompetence into malfeasance. I am going to miss those plans but not the vendor.

A few years back the sent me some plans for a small glider free of charge after I told them it was for entertaining my 3 year old granddaughter. I must have been lucky as a very nice lady answered the phone the 1st time I called.
