I wanted to test the receiver, receiver battery and servos for my Fourstar 40 kit before installing anything. I'm using an AR6200 receiver with a Spektrum DX6i. Here's a picture of the setup.

The battery is connected to the switch. The switch is connected to the "Batt" port on the AR6200. The switch is in the "on" position and I can see the RX light when I turn it on. The one servo is connected to the Aileron port.
I believe the battery has a full charge as I left it on the charger for several hours. I haven't tested it with a multi-meter yet, but when I power on, the servo motor cycles a bit, so I'm pretty sure it has at least enough power to move the motor.
The problem is that with my TX turned on (I turn it on before I turn on the RX switch BTW) the servo does not respond to any stick movement.
I have followed the binding instructions, and each time, it seems that the bind process works properly. This was a working RX that I pulled from another plane. Any ideas on what might be happening?
I do have another RX that I can try but I thought I would post here to see if anyone has suggestions to try.
Thanks!
Bob

Okay, I should have checked my other RX before posting because I was able to bind to that one okay.
Now, here's a new problem. I have some HiTEC HS-311 standard servos and one HS-605BB. The HS-605BB works fine but neither of the 311's work and they are brand new and never been used. Is there a known problem with these servos?

Are you sure you are plugging the servos into the receiver with the plug oriented correctly? I have accidentally reversed the servo plug, even though I should know better. Doing this won't hurt the servo. But the servo won't work with the plug reversed.
Are you sure you are plugging the servo into the channel you want?
Obvious questions, but I have made these mistakes many times.

Sorry. This was a simple fix. The 311's we're not seeded properly. Right orientation, but no contact. Once I pulled them out and reseeded them they worked fine. I just thought it curious that it happened to BOTH of the 311's.
Thanks for the reply.
