Default 40 size rebuild

Grumpy G,
Here is some pictures of the 40 size I am rebuilding. First two taken back in 2013 as it looked when I brought it home.
The last two were back in 2022 where I had picked it up again ..
In a couple days I'll try to get another picture of its current state. I am at the stage of covering the wing.
One of those projects that "OBVIOUSLY" I have not been very committed to..

Looks like fun Rick. I look forward to seeing it covered and flying!

Here is the finished product. I may put on the wheel pants but think I am going to pass on the cowl. At least until I see how she flies, balances etc. Now I can get back to my BUSA Sopwith pup after I do some hinge repairs on my Aircruiser (pic attached) and am ready for flying season

Default The 40 size - refurb...

Here is how my 40 size Cloud Dancer is looking so far.
Still have all the little nit-picking stuff to do. And, obviously covering the fuse.
I wish to confirm that the balance is close before I cover the fuse. Just in case I need to move the battery to the back somewhere.
I did a mock up with most everything it needs to get a weight and it came in at 4.2 lbs
So, I expect it will be under 5 lbs ready to fly. If I got it all squared up, it should fly good with the ST51.

Nice covering job! Did you layer the black over yellow for the checkerboard look or is that one piece?
By the way my 60 size came in at just under 7 lbs.
