Yeah, sort-of.....when you make those cuts make sure they are perpendicular .... and apply glue to both pieces before joining them. Don't use any kicker and you should have a tight joint.
Also, glue the parts over waxed paper which is over the plans!

You don't have to use CA if it won't bond or you have probs with it. I use CA on some sticks and tightbond II on others. If you don't have a miter it will be tougher to get your angles cut correctly. Build to the plans then fill gaps with poly, wood or med/thick CA.

where can you find little miter hobby knives or mini saws ?
can you find them at like home depot or any other place
i dont have one and i saw one in a store once that had the part that you could change for the angles and then a long hobby blade in the middle that would cut the balsa
thanks

why use medium CA? if you check your joint angle for proper fit, just go ahead and use the quick Ca, what ever you use, go slow on the kicker- hardens the glue, makes it brittle and can produce a weak joint. an awful lot of models have been built and will continue to be be built with good old fashion tools. the $$ for the fancy tools can better be spent on balsa and more kits. make sure your building surface is flat, or even.lol
get weights
use sanding blocks ,bars..ect.
wood grain going in the proper direction.
get a triangle and cut the 90 deg coner off...for verticle stab alingment.
measure twice...cut onces.lol
have extra balsa or tristocks ..incase you deem certain
area needs re-enforcement... or you goof.
do inventory first before building.
mark parts and sort to building sections or sequent.
this will help alot .
