JetSet9c1,
The whole basement???? your wife let's you use the whole thing??? does she have a sister???? lol
only clue I have on the "orb looking thingy" would be a reflection on your camera lens. other than that, a ghost in your house??? lol
nice looking building area.

RcKen,
Thanks for the compliment. I guess the wife is a keeper! Just for kicks, I took another photo, and that thingie had moved. Wasn't as bright either.
If it is a ghost, I sure it hope it helps my flying!
(BTW, I got the entire garage too!!)

) I do have a question, what has everyone found to be a nice top to layer with to allow you to use push pins, etc. The ply is way to hard as is......
This was me in the middle of my first plane, a SIG Kadet LT-40, and it just flys great :sunsmiley I am having SO MUCH FUN!! Should have got into this when my brother started......
Oh Yea - to finish the story.....
I managed to tell my wife about my new hobby in bits and pieces before she got back home :surprised
I told her I had built this really nice work bench in the garage for her :spinnyeye

My wife graciously gave up the garage. There has never been an automobile in there!
Two heavy work benches I built (One polyurethene covered, one with 3/4" pink insulating board for pins), Peg boards behind each. I also built a swing-down wing/fuse/float rack out of PVC that operates on a pulley system for more space. Still need to build one more for a couple of BIG fuses!
Now I just need a house on the beach like JAkridge!

I have my shop in one bay of a 3 bay garage. My wife agreed to the shop construction only if we always part our cars inside.
My shop space is 14 1/2' X 21' inside Central heat and airconditioning and my own toilet. I also have my own single kitchen style sink, TV, VCR, Jam Box and a refrigitator. Many people have told me that I have my own dog House.
If you want more details email me direct. Many of the photo will not fit within the 75K limits of RCU. [email protected]. Even image I tried to post here is too big So email me if you want more details.

My workbench is not great, but here is the one I want to get.
www.grizzly.com sells tools but also a really nice workbench, a set of metal legs and hardwood top. The metal legs can be bolted to the floor, different stringers that run on the back side can be bolted into place. You can also adjust the height from 30" to 36".
Look for item G9923 (metal legs) and G9919 (maple top)

She is getting a little upset over the garage. I don't see a problem parking $50k worth of automobiles in the driveway. That's what it's there for!

My wife is pretty understanding about the parking issue. I only need to have her car in the garage October-March.
I used to fly with the Dayton Wingmasters. (88-89) Still fly at the city park?

David,
Yes we still have the city flying field. There is a shelter now and we are planning to do some improvements to the parking and unloading areas.

hey guys, I am thinking we all have to builders here, because ARF guys don't need a shop! HeHe.
My wife let me have the old garage that is against a shared driveway. It is only a 12'x15' space but this site gives me a lot of ideas. Thank you all.
