I have been looking my butt off to try and find a good warbird to build from a kit. I know about the Great Planes, Top Flite, and other major brands. They do not sell unique warbirds. Everyone has at least one P-51, Corsair, etc. SkysharkRC comes the closest with their selection of unique warbird kits and I am considering getting the Hawker Temepst. I still want to keep looking for other warbirds though but I am having trouble finding any more manufactures of warbird kits. So my question is... Are there any other warbird kit manufactures out there that are reliable to order from and if so please list their web addresses.
BTW I am looking for .60 size kits.
Thanks in advance.

Though it is listed as a 40 size kit, it has a 55" wing span (almost the same as most 60 size warbirds). I have an SK50 in mine but would probably go with a 60 if I re-engined. This is a GREAT kit. High quality wood, excellent laser cut, very scale (except rear fuselage bottom, but more scale than GP). Very unique and a great flyer.
Be the only one at your club to own one! Probably the best WWII fighter under 20,000' in the war. At 426MPH and a great turning radius. German pilots where told to avoid engagement of the "Sharp Noses" below 20,000' at all costs. This directive even applied to FW-190s.
So build a rarely modelled piece of history and build a Yak.

Here is my building thread so you can judge for yourself. Besides you would be supporting a up and coming kit builder. The have a 60 size LaGG-3 on the way.

Hi,
if you don't insist on a kit I have to suggest a great ARF. Try the HANGAR9 MUSTANG P51D.
It looks great , easy to fly with some speed on landings to avoid stall.
I am using an OS.90 as the OS.70 that I tried wasn't enough.
Some people are using SAITO 100 and they say that the power is more than efficient.
Only thing I have to notice is to change the retracts with a ROBART landing gear for more strength.
Thanos.

By the way, Thanos, Idlebert says he wants to build a kit, and something different than a P-51 or a Corsair, and you suggest a P-51 ARF??????

Lets start the rumor that "bird flu" has infected Mustangs and Corsairs !!
I'm like you. I don't care to be a clone. I built a Pica T28. Its not true scale, its "fun scale" or "stand-off" scale or "semi-scale". But it looks great and at 7 1/2 pounds it flys great.
One problem. Pica closed thier doors this year. The rumor is that they are moving to South America. Well, it has been nearly a year, plenty of time has passed for them to have moved. And yet, no return of Pica.
The kits do appear on Ebay frequently. You can generally find a T-28 there just about every month.
Lets hope Pica returns. They had a great looking Focke Wolf and some very nice kits.
Good luck.

I've always been intrigued by the Warbirds line, but they are British and have no U.S. distributor, so you'd have to pay the shipping fee from U.K. I haven't tried one, but read a very impressive review of their Lavochkin LA-7. Would that be far enough off the beaten path for you? Jim
