Default hog bipe wing incidence question.

my top wing came out about minus .25 degrees, but it should be a full degree.
i've pretty much decided to just leave it alone, but i'm curious....is that amount off really that critical?
if i get enough responces of "oh my god!!!!! , it's gonna crash!!!" i'll break down and work on it, but my thinking is that it's not that big of a deal.
what say you?

First of all what kind of instrument do you have that you can mesure a quarter of a degree. Yes, .75 degrees will make a difference.

great planes accupoint incidence meter iirc. it's the one that has the "floating" lazer on one end of a beam, a graduated scale at the other, and two moveable attachment clamps that are supposed to self-allign the whole thing.
the problem is easy enough to correct, i should just man up and deal with it. i may have eroneously thought the difference would be negligable as far as flight characteristics.
hmmmm, new here, hope i don't blow adding a link to a pic.

Ohhhhhhh, sweet tool, didn't know that it was available. I gotta get me one of those. guns, setting the correct incidence if far too important to not do right.

hmmmmm, that would be sweet for me if i goofed, and it was zero.
i'm at work, so i can't check my plans, but i'm thinking the bottom wing is zero, and the top is minus 1 degree.
maybe i can do a search and find out.
tonight is a 6 hr half shift, so i'll be home and ready to do battle with this by 0100.

All of my bipes have required down, even if it wasn't in the plans, but after relooking at these plans, mine definately say zero all around-except for the 1 1/2 down engine thrust.

My Hog Bipe was zero-zero all around. It had a tendency to climb at full power. I shimmed the top wing to 1 1/2 degrees negative and that helped the climbing tendency. As an added plus, I found that I can now drag it in even slower than before because as the lower wing gets near the stall angle, the top wing is still flying because of the negative incidence. The other thing that I could have done was to add downthrust, but because the engine was cowled in,I took the path of least resistance. It worked for me.

I'd leave it with the negative the way it is, personally. I think it will help you more than hurt you. You'll probably find you will actually want more in the long run.

tell you what i'm gonna do. i'll get home from work, check my plans, and very carefully re-measure everything, just in case i made an error and it slipped by me.
based on what i've read on this thread, and this one, http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_18.../tm.htm#189983,

i'll most likely leave well enough alone, and be happy that i don't have to correct anything.
then i can set my sights on finishing this puppy up.
i don't even want to know how i got a minus 1 degree into my head.....must have been that guy al ziemer distracting me again.

edit to add that i got home and checked the plans, the incidence is 0 degrees, and the re-measured actual incidence was still minus .25, so i'm happy, and not touching a thing.
thanks to all who replied.
