Default Can anyone identify this plane?

A member of my R/C club gave this plane to me. He does not remember what it's called or the company that issued the kit a few years ago. It looks like a something extra but has a 67" wingspan and calls for a 120 engine? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Barzini

I sure looks like a scaled up Somethin' Extra... It also appears to be laser cut so that would like rule out someone scaling up the Somethin' Extra... I seem to recall that there was a plane that was very similar to a scaled up Somethin' Extra called the Freedom 3D or something like that a couple of years ago...

Looks like an AK Models 3D Freedom to me. Follow the link to an old thread where someone built one. Pictures start at post #42. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_29..._2/key_/tm.htm

Thanks,
That's what it is an AK MODELS 3D Freedom. I do not have a plan and do not know where the recommended c.g. is. Does anyone know the C.G? Does anyone still fly this plane? Any help is appreciated.

Don't sweat the CG... That fat wing will has a wide CG range. Simply set it to 25-30% MAC, or for simplicity put the CG on the spar/wing tube, and go fly. You can adjust it to suit your flying style and tastes via flight testing.
