Default quick question on glassing.......

I had a wing failure on an avistar select mkII (i was training a friend with my plane) and the wing dihedral block gave way to glue failure (apparently i didn't use enough. I've jointed the wing back together with 30 min epoxy, repaired all the sheeting and glassed the wing joint. I didn't use thin ca (tip thanks to sig manf.) because the glass was 8 inches wide (just to be safe). I used 30 min epoxy thinned with alcohol.

My question is this, is this a common practice that will work for the intended purpose, or should I have ordered and used fiberglass resin (on my next order's wish list) ???

Epoxy will work fine - even thinned, at 8" wide you shouldn't have anything to worry about

thanks.......i've always used thin ca but at 8X24 that would used a LOT of ca...

usually i only use 2" but this was a pretty bad break and i covered all the sheeting that had been damaged.
