Default Warbird

I noticed you have a PC in there. How do you keep the balsa dust under control? I've been banished to the basement.

Fishstyx,
Its not easy, but the belt/disc sander has a built in shop vac attachment, my palm sander has a dust collector, and any hand sanding gets done over the inverted dustbuster. I still get a little dust even after all that but it keeps it way down. I guess it also helps that I dont have a wife nagging me about it either, LOL

My back hurts from working on this mahogany glass topped table.
Unfortunately I need to build a bigger table to start the fuse on the 33% 330L

Default F117

The F117 is a .46 size. Plans are avalible from RCM. It is a Parker L. model the same guy that did the Space Shuttle and Sr71's for RCM.

This is the 80" profile I am working now.

Default Building in a motel

Rocky, I can't say that I've tried building a kit in a motel, but I have put together an arf in a motel. And from the pictures, I'd almost guarantee I know what motel chain you are staying. Motel 6 right? Don't those dressers need to be about 2 feet deeper for that.
BTW: My wife works for the corporate office of Motel 6, so I have become quite accustomed to the interior of a Motel 6.

The Twin is a 14 foot span Twin Otter. It was featured on an RCM cover way back when. I got it like 3rd or 4th hand. It isn't flying as yet because not a week or so after buying it, I got a job offer up here in Alaska. It was short notice so I tossed everything into 2 storage cubicals and moved. I visit them every now and then (I get down at least once a year for the Reno Air Races).

It is ready to go except for engines, although it is plumbed and set up for 2 Sachs 3.2s. I am going to stick Fox 3.2s in there when I settle somewhere. It's impractical to ship it up here. Not seen in the picture is a Super Telemaster. 15 foot span...I'm going to tow large sailplanes with it. There's many more in the other cubical.

I flew out on Beale AFB (I'm retired Air Force). I am also a member of the Redding Radio Control Club. I have also visited at the Sacramento Red Barons field a couple of times as a guest of a member.

OK, one slow kit build going on, several repairs, two engine repairs/rebuilds and I just finished working on something for the grand kid. Tomorrow is engine run in day and clean the shop up so I can get back to my own build. A lot of things happening on my board at the moment and it isn't as much building as it should be.
