Show me your mess

Tell me about it!
Actually that picture was taken while I was expanding my shop. It's almost finished but still isn't big enough, especially since I've gone 1/4 scale crazy. SOOOOOO I have a 30x40 building in my future.

Just finsihed my last project, 11x17 room with 2 building tables and one storage cabinet. I seem to make messes faster than I can clean them up.

This is my working area after spending two weekends in cleaning it up.
This is my working area after spending two weekends in cleaning it up.
Yeah!! it looks clean, crowded but clean.
This morning my wife and I were arguing because I installed a coffee type table as a bench just by my bed's side. It happened because earlier this month kids and wife were out, as almost every Friday or Saturday afternoon, then I just wanted to be cousy and fresh watching big tv while I was setting up a little 40 size Pitts.
As the set up was going on, many tools and boxes were coming, adding around my new bedroom bench, Well this morning it came to an end, and every thing is back downstairs to the laundry room, no big screen there.
That laundry room is really a mess. I just can't take pictures of it with out feeling ashamed!!!

Hey don't knock yourself out and clean it up to good. I know every time I clean up I just end
up tearing the place apart a couple of weeks later, trying to find that one item that I just got
to have (if only 30 seconds), that had been sitting on the corner of the table for weeks before
I cleaned up. Then it takes me another month or two to clean the mess up again.

In a jammed up 2 car garage, I've managed to shove out alot of beauties in the 20 or so years I've owned the house. This summers big project was to build a nice detached work room in the back but life pops up and takes the money for other more needy stuff.

you must be psychic or sumpin! I just found my plastic flex ruler after many days of looking. it was right were I left it.
The extra space I got from my expansion sure is nice. I can actually walk around the plane on my work bench. Here, take a look!
See, I didn't clean a bunch. but enough to get back to my baby!

My Man-Cave:
My fiance allowed me to convert our 12' x 20' family room on the lower level into my shop/gym. Gym is not pictured. My shop consists of two 6.5' wooden tables that I built, and one 6' plastic folding picnic table.
The table in the middle is usually used for building, and has a 1/16" stainless steel panel on top so that I can build with a magnet system. Currently, the table is being used for a temporary project. The other wooden table serves as a platform for my scroll saw and multisander.
The picnic table serves as my car/truck pit space, chock full of all kinds of tools. It is where I do my soldering/assembling/repair of my cars and trucks. You can see some of the bodies for my minis, all of which I painted.
I also have a model railroad oval circumnavigating my shop. There are 2 N scale ovals on the inside, and 2 HO scale ovals running along the outside. I sometimes run the trains while working down there.
Suspended from the ceiling is a kit-built 4*60, a re-covered Seagull models Spacewalker II for my fiance, a Great Planes P-51 Mustang in the bones, and a couple of trainers (not pictured) that hang over my gym.

Thank you
The same fiance that agreed I should have a man cave also insited that: when gas prices were very high in 2008, I should NOT settle for a Honda Civic when I needed a new vehicle. Instead, she yelled at me that I SHOULD get the vehicle I had wanted for four years. Who was I to argue? So, I heeded her angry rant, and bought a new 2008 double cab Toyota Tacoma long bed truck with all the options I wanted.
She's tough!

The only thing I can keep clean and organized is the building table when I have some plans on it. I need to get rid of the sofa and build some storage space there, then I would have enough room to get everything in order, or so I tell myself.

hadta make room for my for my fiddy one build.
