I bought the .60 size Hornet biplane Stangel offers based on the praise a friend of mine has for the larger size version of the Skylark. He has since framed it up and it is awaiting covering -- says a lot of material can be removed on the corners because of the thick construction used throughout. Looks like very nice materials: machine cut and hand selected for grain/density to use in appropriate areas -- even has the right smell when you open the box. He enjoyed building it so much, he split shipping with me for a bipe kit as well. The Stangel site says something to the effect of temporary delay in production while switching over to laser cutting? Won't be getting to mine too soon because of other projects.

I'm in the same boat (well plane) with you on the other projects. I bought the Skylark 40, looks to be pretty well selected and cut. I will let you know how it does once completed.

Try [link]http://www.stangel.com/[/link]

as a side note, he has this posted on the website

- Announcement -

Our RC and CL model airplane kits are being redesigned for laser-cutting.
Our kits will not be available until this redesign and testing is complete.

You might try sending him an email to see if any are still available.
