Default Changing wingtip design on Telemaster 40

I am in the process of building a 40 size Telemaster from a kit. It will be gas powered.
I was getting ready to put the wing tips on and had a design inspiration. I really never liked how the undercambered sharp edged wing tips look on most trainers, the Telemaster included. So having an extra piece of triangle stock laying around I decided to experiment.
I basically built the tip upside down so the bottom of the tip matches the bottom of the wing and the top is faired to provide a nice curve down from the top of the wing.
I really like the way it looks but I'm afraid it may adversely affect the way the wing behaves. So before I do the same to the other half and maybe even to the horizontal stab, I was wondering if anyone has a strong opinion about what may happen to the airfoils behavior and performance.

I'll attach a picture as soon as I can.[/size]

IMO, that bottom bevel thing is more a covering aid to eliminate compound curves more than anything else.

Compound curves don't bother me. It's the overall change to the airfoil that concerns me. Any input?

My gut feeling tells me you could rough cut the wing tips with a dull chain saw and it wouldn't affect the flying characteristics of a Telemaster.
I wouldn't worry about it.

I add rounded wing tips from to all my planes... I think it looks nicer.. tear drop shape with the widest part at the spar location... I usually hollow them out so not to add the extra weight so far out on the tips.... never had any issues with performance.

I believe your modification will produce adverse roll (dutch roll) from rudder input, i.e., right rudder input will cause the left wing to lower instead of raise.

Go for it I did the same to my old Telemaster 40, may It RIP (student did it in). The mods didn't change a thing. The Telemaster is very forgiving to say the least.
As the 40 size flys well with a 40-46 size 2 stroke (had a 52 4 stroke on mine) what kind of gasser are you using, that might be something to consider as this plane does not require a lot of power.
