What I found was at the Dollar Store or Dollar General, this is kinda hard to describe but try to bear with me.
Hummmmm after not being able to write any kind of description I did a search for toy pinchers and found a picture.
The one I got was a pig head , look at the link, to see this thing, there is a handle on the other end and when it is squeezed the mouth opens and closes.
Oh yeah the one I got cost a couple of bucks, the$11.95 price on the website is for a dozen.

I was looking at the toy section of Target (I think) for possible pilot figures and I seem to remember a bunch of plastic farm animals and a few zoo animals in one section. I may have to go back and see if I can find a chimp or orangutan.

I'll have to look out in the shop to see if I still have the Hog pilot I used. It was from the Harley shop, just the right sized Hog stuffed animal, complete with a black leather hat. Doc

thanks for the help, it is hard to find one that will fit and look right. I like the idea of the harley hog's head with leather cap, I will check local harley shop and see what they have.

Let me know if you find yours and you want to part with it! here are some pics of finished hog, i copied Anthony Hall's covering scheme, found on fubarhill website.
Not as good as his, but it should look good in the air!

Looks great Preacher! That's the scheme I'm using on mine too - except mine's going to be Orange instead of Yellow. If you don't mind me asking, how did you do the upper wings? Did you join the Mono/Ultra-cote first, then apply to the wing? Or did you fully cover with a base color and add the stripes on top? I have been thinking of joining the pieces first then covering ...

Thanks,

-MA

I covered it in yellow ultra cote first, and then placed the others on top, I sprayed yellow with windex, laid the stripes on one at a time, and used a low temp to apply them. It sort of steams the bubbles out from under it. This was my first time to try this, it worked fairly well after i got the right temp, and took my time. I am by no means a good coverer at all. Most of what i do looks good in the air or at about 50 paces. So i am not sure which application technique would be best. I havn't tried putting different colors together first and then applying, but i think that is how Anthony Hall say's he did his.
Let me know which way you do it and how it turns out!

thanks for the good comments!

Wow - looks really good for all that overlapped covering! I am sure I'd get a ton of bubbles if I tried your method. I will likely try and piece together the colors before applying.

Hey Preacher ... can you take a closeup of the headrest that you added? What material is it? Did you happen to add additional elements to the cockpit?

Hey MasterAlex. the head rest is made fro a piece of old foam tire, you know the ones off of an ARF, that if the plane sits too long they get a flat spot on one side. So I took one of those and cut it out, and smoothed it down to shape with the trustee dremel tool.
the edging around the cockpit is a piece of old windshield wiper blade, the groove in it worked perfectly. thats about all I have done so far, no inst. panel, although i think i will get one. I painted it black, and put the switch/charge jack there as well. Not sure how the pilot I ordered will fit around it, but we will see.

O, by the way, I found a Harley Pig doll figure, on ebay and bought it, hope it will work cause it looks really cool!

Talk to ya later.

Necessity is the mother of invention - nice creative thinking there! Very cool. [8D]

MasterAlex, Have you taken any pics of your plane? And have you done any modifications to it?
