Point Style Hinges

I vote for Titebond. One reason is that excess glue can be easily cleaned off with rag and water. Dip hinge point in drop of oil when installing. Prevents any glue from sticking there.

Instructions say epoxy. I tend to stick with manufacturer recommendations.
I fill the hinge fingers with vaseline to prevent accidents. I used to melt the vaseline with my heat gun and just dip them but it seems more trouble than it's worth. I just use a small stick of balsa and work it into the knuckle.

Canopy glue works great since its made to stick to plastic. It also cleans up with just water. Been using it for years. Do this test, install a hinge point into a 1" square block of scrap balsa and let it dry overnight. Now using a set of pliers try to remove the hinge and report back here.

Pacer Hinge Glue. In the past I think I have tried everything and this stuff works the best for me. Even if you get it in the hinge it can be broken loose plus you can wipe off the excess with water when installing them. On foam core wings that have been wobbled out A bit from being pushed in and pulled out too much I use Gorilla Glue but you have to wipe off the over flow with water several times while it sets up and expands but it's good stuff.

The best glue that I ever used for point hinges is called Gorilla Glue. This glue will expand 3-4 times over. Just a little on the point and end area, it will fill and it will not pull out. It will give You about 40 minutes or a little less to lock.
I have even used this glue on a fire wall that had pulled out. On point hinges it works best.

I use nothing but Gorilla Glue (the kind jship mentioned) on my hinge points. Just be sure to use vasoline on the hinge pin before you use any of these glues..but not to get any on the other parts of the hinge....just the joint.
I've never had a hinge point pull out without breaking the surrounding wood with Gorilla Glue.
Can't say I'd recommend it with regular du-bro style pinned hinges, but for the point style hinges, hard to beat!
