RE: Shrike 40 / Reducing Airfoil
Unfortunately the ribs #5 came a bit shorter (6 mm ) than it suppose to be [>:] so that I needed to make a small piece on both sides that joined with the LE .

Looking good SpeedBoy. Can't wait for radar and Doppler on this one. I think it will be a winner. Are you going to shorten the ailerons to help avoid flutter?

And yes I'll shorten the ailerons about 1 3/4" or 2" each one on the tips to avoid flutter .
Mike , how do you recommed to sand the LE to avoid tip stall on a high G turn ??? round the outer portion and sharp the inner portion ??? or something different ???
I feel the same than you , can't wait for radar and Doppler hehe , BUT if there will be a video of this one , I think it should be after make and show you the 2nd video of my Patriot with the 9x10 APC factory prop as I promesed you , I still remember it and is something that I feel I need to do , I'm a little ashamed with you for dont do it yet . I'll push a little mi brother to help me make the video .

The sharp leading edge will cause that portion of the wing to stall first. I would round at least the outer 50 or 60% of the leading edge. Piper and other aircraft manufactures use stall strips to make the stall more gentle.

Well , some of time to have updates , tips , LE and TE of the stab.
The ending of the LE and TE were cut at 10° to have the rudders at that inclination . I did use hard wood on TE.

Stab .
I did kind of sandwich to make the stab , 1- 3/16" and 2- 3/32" balsa sheet .
Still a lot of sanding job to do .

Almost done !!
At the last time a decided to change the engine for a real power house a Picco 60 F.I.R.E. wich make me modified even more the nose , it turned out just to fit a 2" spinner instead of 2-1/2" from original wich is something good to me.

The engine is still on the break-in process just 1/2 gallon through it , 17,000 rpm 10x7 with 0% nitro , still rich , no tuned yet , I'll look 22,000 rpm with 9x10 APC and 15% nitro 22% oil, as other guy says his is turning , we'll see.
