I am installing Robart Hinge Points in my Hog-Bipe and would like to know the best way to get the "knuckle" of the hinge to fit in the hole. I am using the 1/8" size hinges and I used the drill jig to drill the holes. The hole is too tight to fit the "knuckle" of the hinge and the pin is about 1/4" out of the hole. I thought about using a larger drill bit and just go deep enough to get the pin flush with the TE. I also though about carving it out with a knife. I tried sharpening a brass tube and it did not cut the wood very well. What do you do to get the knuckle to fit in the hole?

For "fine tuning" of any drilled hole. my favorite tool is a tapered reamer, I think it's also called a plumber's reamer. Five or six flutes, tapers from 1/2" down to 3/16" or so. I use that to touch up the outside of the drilled hole so that the Robart hinge's knuckle fits.
Careful carving with a #11 blade works, too...
