I just built a Beautiful Great Planes Super Skybolt Bipe. It was the most challenging kit I've built so far, but what a great feeling after it was finished I haven't flown it yet because I want to put a 4 stroke 120 in it, but have heared great things about it. Minn flyer (Moderator) has one and some video's as well, maybe he'll stroll by here and post them. Good luck

I vote ultimate as well. Love these so much I have two of them. The only downside is it takes nearly 25 mins to put together my DP Ultimat 120! I also have a GP 40 Size ultimate thats pretty fun to fly.

The Hog Bipe is probably the easiest to fly.

The CGM Ultimate is an easier build than the GP Skybolt

But the Skybolt has the fastest "Out-of-the-car-and-into-the-air" time.

Here are the vids tmproff mentioned:

PS, this is with a YS 91

Without a doubt...

The Goldberg Ultimate...

I have seen several of these fly and flown a couple myself....

Simply wonderful handling planes... lands slow, will do every trick in the book...

Designed by Dave Patrick back when he was with CG.

Slow harriers, cleam 4 points, etc....

Build it straight and it'll be one of your most favorite planes to take to the field...

I'm building gasser sized bipes, but someday, when I get a chance, I intend on building me one...

I'd put a Saito 100 in it... Or a YS-110 if I had ever had good louck with them....

O.S. 91 is fine but just borderline... 120's are too heavy...

Thus the Saito 100 selection.

Built the CG Ultimate when it first came out . Nice plane except for two areas I didn't care for. First there is not much structural strength on the lower fuse near the wing hold down have seen a few break the fuse in hard landings. I beefed that up. Next is the cabane struts and mounting. If your going to take the plane apart for flying or storage the metal parts don't hold up well.
I would go with a pull-pull rudder the rudder and elevator servo location need to be looked at carefully for a good direct line setup.
A pattern flyer at the time helped me with mine. Was a very nice flying plane. Will do about anything you ask. My mistake was a figure 9.
The Balsa USA EAA is a nice plane but not as easy to build or fly as the CG Ultimate. I had one for a short period of time. That one got traded for something I don't recall. Age does that.
Just my 2 cents worth. Both planes have their good and bad points.

My personal experience with the ultimate is very easy to land, very axial rolls, no bad habits, pretty much good all around. I have also heard that the Dave patrick will fly cirlces aroung the CG! No personal experience with the CG, but the DP is by far the best plane i have ever flown. The only complaint i have with the DP is the pull pull, its quite hard to get it setup right on the elevators. I am not kidding when I say that the ultimate lands as easy as a trainer does. The wingloading is so little, and its just fun fun fun!!!

The DP 120 is truly a sweet plane.... I had one and loved it... Sold it tho becuase I'm building these two Challenger III's...

http://www.renderwurx.com/rc/challenger3/

The DP, tho, is only available as an ARC or ARF and not a kit...

Again... DP designed both of these planes, and I'll have to say that I've flewn both and if the DP flies a little better it's because it's bigger...

I've considered getting the CG kit and lighten the heck out of it and tru and E-Power it... A big ole hacker B50 or so and some big LiPolies...

Sorry everyone, Didnt realize he was looking for a kit. hehe, the GP ultimate is fun, but nothing you would want for serious aerobatics.

You can't go wrong with the Goldberg Ultimate, it's the best flying bipe I have flown for aerobatics.
