I have been using Mobil 1 Racing 2T fully synthetic 2 cycle oil at 40:1 mix with 93 octane(always fresh from the pump) on my 45gx2 in a H9 Cap232g and 22x8 prop. It has been running and cranking without any problems for almost 2 years.
Mobil 1 has discontinued the oil. I was going to stock up, but it has a 1 year shelf life. Can I use Amsoil 100:1 (used in DA50 engines)? Is there another brand available in the USA that would replaced Mobil 1? Mobile 1 said they do not plan to make a replacement.
Thanks,
George G. Royal

I am currently investigating Putoline to stock as replacement oil. You need a SAE 50 weight oil in the MVVS engines.
Do not think lightly about it if an engine churns out about 17 horses per liter per 1000 rpm on a cantilever crank construction. DA is'nt even close to that.
PS shelf life is not to be overrated. You can easily store a jug of oil for two years.
