MVVS 26 Petrol
Hey MVVS guys,
I have a 26cc petrol, red head with vertical plug. I was wondering will the intake trumpet on the new slanted plug engine fit on mine?
Thanks
Steven

RE: MVVS 26 Petrol
PE,
I have the original MVVS 160 silver head, I was thinking of doing the same slant head. Will it fit and does it use a 10mm plug? I don't mind changing the plug and going to a different cap as I the cap on my plug keeps falling off.
My carburetor does not have a choke built in, will the new carburetor EVO 26GX fit the intake port? The finger method is horrible.
So exactly what does not fit? between the older MVVS silver head and the new EVO26GX?
Thanks for your support!

The parts interchange. MVVS never changed basic dimensions up to jan 2008. Jan 2008 saw a different crankshaft/conrod/crankcase, to which all other parts still fit.
If you fit the larger carbof new engines, be sure to check the carb manifold for sufficient passage diameter, and reduce compression ratio of your engine by adding head shims.

If you decide to change the ignition as well, MVVS item # 3312L is a plug and play modern MSR ICU replacement like the one fitted to the latest engines. This ICU ignition is adapted to work with 180 degrees magnets like the Vlach EZM ignition has so it will use the same prop driver.
