I have rebuilt my nextar after a mishap and I also took my 46FXi apart to clean the dirt and debris from the internal components, I have the engine running well with a very slight hesitation when transitioning from idle to full throttle, I think I can tweak it out but I noticed air in the line from the tank to the needle valve every 3/4 of an inch or so, I do not see the air in the line from the needle valve to the nipple on the carb, is this normal , or should I be concerned, I have not flown since the rebuild and was concerned....I have only ran it in the garage on the work bench and if I need to adjust I want to do it before going to the field......

Air in the line from the tank means you have a leak somewhere. The fuel line may have a cut or crack in it, and it can be anywhere, even inside the fuel tank. You'll have to check it carefully. Air in the fuel can cause the engine to go lean, and this can cause damage if it gets too lean. The least that can happen is that the engine becomes difficult to set. The worst is a burned-up engine from too-lean running.
