Dear Bax,
Thank s for answering. If you remember I had asked you about a 70 II FS OS MAX which I opened and lost the timing . No when I have fixed it back keeping the timing at 6 O' clock the engine is running .
Is this timing position right.
Let me know
Sharad

Sharad,
On O.S. Max 4-stroke engines, the timing mark is NOT at 6:00 o'clock. It should be set so that it's aligned with the center of the pushrod tubes/cam follower when the engine is at Top Dead Center. If it's aligned at 6:00 o'clock, you'll be 1 or 2 teeth off.

Dear Bax,
Thanks once agian for you reply. In this case the engine timing set wrong by one or two teeth off from the setting , what kind of response will the engine give.
Secondly, Now how should I align it with the center of the push rod.
Thanks & Regards
Sharad
