I am a 48 yr old general contractor and what scares me is not finding any work. It has been pretty slim pickens since the economy disaster. I have even resorted to hanging mini blinds and mowing yards

don't own a gun or plan on buying one but I don't want my right to own one taken away (currently they are illegal to sell where I live which goes against the constitution... gotta love democrats)

im not a good swimmer so i get nervous when im in water and my swimming gets even worse that i can barely float... but only if i can't see the bottom or if i dont know the depth.
i don't like hights but they give me a good rush so i still do it. installing a tv dish on a 2 story appartment building with a 45degree roof angle on a ladder just tall enough to get to the gutter in 20mph winds is pretty exiting... even more trying to get back on the ladder !
im affraid of passing 18wheelers on the highway, i used to work in a scrap yard and saw too many blood tinted seats/meat incrusted dashbord.

My number one fear is accidentally hurting someone, whether it be with a car, r/c or whatever.

Flying, although I would love to to fly myself. I just don't trust other people to be in control.
Edit: Oh and snakes. The only good snake is a dead snake.

Tornados at Night...... Only thing in the world that scare me. Soon as those warnings go up i start the coffee and sit by the kids rooms.

No more talk of guns (unless its guns you're scared of, as objects), gun laws, liberals, politics, governments, or any of that.
It is quite obvious this thread is for saying what actual everyday objects/scenarios you are scared of....Spiders, heights, old women, little people, etc.
