Only bears, really.
bears or the chicago bears?

the latter you really dont need to be afraid, they never do anything in the offense. just sack cutler.

bear bears, yeah, its scary because they are big, strong, fast and smart, can climb swim and scale, and even with a strong weapon, if you dont kill it, it will just kill you faster.
Yeah actual bears. There aren't very many around here, but they do exist. There are no big cats, no dangerous aquatic animals, and only one (shy) species of venomous snake. Bears are really the only dangerous animal in the area. That being said, I think deer and other large herbivores are more dangerous, simply due to their numbers and the amount of people injured or killed from hitting them with their car. Come to think of it I've heard of more people being attacked by bucks than bears.

I am scared of someone bringing up politics at a family gathering, especially the in-laws from out of town. I wonder If I could invite Foxy or Minnflyer to moderate. ha ha
One basic rule from the mother in law [I think she wrote some of the rules here] What ever you do at the Christmas gathering Do Not bring up Politics, religion, or war. Do Not Mention the current presidents name nor any Senator or Representative. Never ever say the words Democratic or Republican. Do not say Iran, Iraq, Israel or any other desert country. Never utter the words Taliban or any of its leaders. Basically, Drink, eat, be marry and talk about the weather.

Only a few things scare me.

One of them is being tied or restrained where you cant move and or being buried alive like in (Kill Bill).
Falling into a hole or crevasse where you get wedged in and cant move is also at the top of my list.

I have also been 5 feet from a Brown Bear while camping in Sequoia, but that really didn't scare me as much as I thought it would.

Well, I never saw this thread before. Since so many of you are being so frank, my fear is of heights. Flying does't scare me, but ladders do. And I once went to the top of higher of the World Trade Center. Didn't like it at all. Crossing high bridges isn't fun for me either.

Other small phobias I outgrew.

Oh, I'm also scared to watch my son at the beginning of one of his MX races. That swarm of almost 40 riders is scary to watch, and I've seen some bad accidents (one rider paralyzed from the waist down). Once the swarm thins out, I don't worry after that.

I'm not afraid of hell... I've been married twice!

In fact, if I go to hell that qualifies me for the work-release program

Dummycrats. I'm 57 and have seen their vision for this country. I haven't voted for one since Jimmy Carter.

My apologies Jessie if you read my post (this one before I edited it, I kinda jumped on you a bit, lol), I clearly misunderstood. Being a mod and keeping a constant eye on threads like this gets to the psychology! In any case, I appreciate the kind words, and I'm glad you appreciate what we do here. /bow

I must have missed that one Foxy. I'd like to see it though. Perhaps you could re-post or PM it to me. Being "jumped on is one of those things I am not scared of".
Anyway I can't imagine an RCU moderator responding to a post he did not fully understand.

BTW, it seems that one time if a post was deleted or questioned the moderator sent a courtesy PM to the poster. Has that policy changed or is it up to the individual moderator?

Again, Thanks for all you guys do. I'm glad it's not MY job![X(]
