Bah, my desktop died this evening! Darn MEMORY failed on it.

I knew it was problematic from the onset (it never reached the right speeds) it seems to have finally bit the big one.

Off to newegg for an RMA. [:@] --- Now I'm operating from the ole' MacBook
Is your build thread up yet for the Baja SS?

I've just been posting pictures in this thread! I didn't take the 'step by step' pics that everyone is used too.

As you guys can see, my sig has only a few cars in it. Those that are not list will be eBayed.

TRF415
M03M Swift
Duratrax F1
FootWork F1
Brushless Savage

Various accesories will be listed too.

Helicopters are 90% of my hobby, cars come last and have decided to stick with a few special kits all being off roaders.

Just a friendly FYI
Yeah, I have been doing more and more helis it is addicting. Ya know what it is for me is the challenge and reward of learning new skills.

TEX, do you think you would get more for the Savage by puting the engine back in and selling the brushless stuff extra? Not sure maybe an electric setup is more valuable.

Oh and I will email you in 5 minutes...
I've always had more interest in flight. I can't purchase like I used to so any and all funds available goto helis.

mechanizeddeath, those wheels will fit any 12mm hex.. so it will work on the rear.. but on the front, you might need to do some work to fit..

Even for someone who has a F03GT already, I am tempted to get a 2nd one (just the chassis kit) just so I can do a RWD muscle car project! Run some big wide foam tires on the back.. put a Charger shell on it.. LOL!!
Haha, funny you mention that LB, look what I stole off eBay for like nothing yesterday:

A rare Tamiya Street Devil Ltd. Edition chassis (means chromed wheels!) for my Muscle car project, wohoo!!!
The Tamiya Street Devil was one of only two cars Tamiya launched with a Parma lexan body!

I'm going to open a new thread for this project, because I need all your opinion which body to use on this.

Some crappy eBay pics and the one which got me started: CUDA on a Mercedes C11 chassis [X(]!
i like that Cuda body. wonder if it would fit on the Brat chassis, weird as that would look... haha!

it's very funny when you walk into a LHS, hold up a worn Brat ball link and steering rod, and within one second the guy behind the counter says something like "Ah, Tamiya... Brat or Frog right?"

they didn't have the parts i needed in stock, but anyone with that level of part recognition deserves my business, so i had them order it. [8D]

ordered the stock parts for now, as i'm more interested in getting the Brat back on four wheels - or none, in the case of it jumping. i may order a random assortment of ball links and other parts during my next Tower order, and see what works and what doesn't.

i forgot to mention that even the model train guys knew what it was. talk about an icon of RC vehicles.

another option is that they did say they could put something together for me if i'd brought the whole truck in, but since i flipped it and crashed into something i won't mention (hint: i have two dogs) i didn't exactly want to drop it onto someone's counter and expect them to still like me. [&:]

i think it would be fun! probably turn a few heads, most people really seem to like the Brat, even if they've never seen one before.

i don't know of any RC raceways in the area, i'm sure there are some in the Detroit area but that's hours away. i need one near the west coast. of Michigan that is.

I don't run my RC enough to wear down the ball cup, LOL! But if I were to change them out, I'd put on some improved parts.. the re-releases come w/ ball cup that's identical to what we got 20+ yrs ago.. so we know that there's room for improvement!!

LB, Did your Novak XBR come with an extra length of Silcone Novak Wire in the box??

I got an extra 8-10" length of Red Silicone wire... just seemed a bit unsual.

The brat you can race beileve it or not, but you may have trouble beating current Losi and associated 2wd buggies with it, or even a T4 even...eh?
You may have to do some tricks to give ya the extra edge you need....lol

Sounds like an interesting project, I'd like to get my hands on one of those chassis since I've been wanting a RC muscle car, but haven't found an electric chassis that would accept the very few bodies out there, unless I wanted the nitro RS4 from HPI that is a little too fast for the amount of "pavement" around here.

Yeah, it did... I am not sure what it is for... ha! Since it is only 1 color... (if it comes w/ multiple color like what an LRP ESC does, then you can use it for extension, etc.) But a free wire is a free wire... I will take it!
