Default Getting started looking for gear

I'll starting to get my parkflyer gear together for spring 2004

I have settled on my plane a GWS E-Starter ( my father and I getting same kit )

I already have my:

Radio - Hitec eclipse 7 w/spectra
Charger - Great Planes Triton w/ Heat Probe
Batteries - E-Tec ET-1200x2 1200 Mah ( for use with my ECO Piccolo )

Now what I am looing for input on are the following

Reciever & Speed Contol that can handle the Li-Poly's ( I would really like to be able to use the same batteries for both my heli and plane)

Thanks so much for any help you can provide

Would the GWS Flight packs be able to handle Li-Poly's higher output voltage ??

Thanks

The GWS ESC can handle the Li-pos just fine. The problem comes with the low voltage cutoff. The minimum voltage for your Li-po patts is higher than the LVC for the GWS ESC's. If you try to fly the plane until the ESC cutts power, you'll ruin your pack. This doesn't mean that it won't work though, you just need to keep an eye on the voltage of your pack.

what I am really looking for is a system that will not allow the Li-Pol's to drop below 3v. Is ther anything out there to do this ??

a reciever and speed control ??, part #'s or link would really help me out..

Thanks

The Pixie 20 from Castle Creations would work well and has a programable LVC.
