Default MVVS vs. Speed

Kevin, for all practical purposes,,, The Q500 MVVS engine should give you speeds in the 140mph area, in a level flight.

To acheive speeds in the 200 mph area,,, you'll have to consider all factors involved, like air temperature, humidity, barometric presure and things of that nature. All of those factors will affect the speed of your plane and for you to even get close to 200 mph, you'd have to be in the same atmospheric conditions that those guys were in when they claimed to go over 200 mph,,, but then again, anybody can put their plane in a big dive and go fast.

So don t get discouraged because you are not able to go 200 mph,,, it takes time and alot of hard practice,,, you'll get there one day,,, just keep practicing

Randy, lets get serious here. Ignore the 208mph nonsense, that is not worthy of comment.

You mentioned having a "Beer" with Roy and I at the Nats. There have been many references to my alcoholism in previous posts. Beer just does not do it. I promise I will have plentiful supplies of the right stuff.

Looks like Ed's forecast for Muncie is "Dark and Stormy"

KEVIN,

EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE ONLY 15, you need to discover and explore the usage of the Caps Lock key.

How many other people do you see using all CAPS? Using all caps makes you look computer illiterate, unintelligent, overly anxious, and/or a host of other things.

Randy S,

>> My friggin' car keys will do 200 mph in a dive from 1000' <<

Maybe. It depends on their shape and orientation, and the fob that may be attached to them. Now with a little tape and streamlining, we could probably get their free falling terminal velocity up to 200 mph, but it would depend on the tape, or streamlining material, and it's ability to withstand the acceleration to 200 mph.

I suspect the terminal velocity for a set of say, Chevy keys with the plastic edge pads and perhaps an old coroded and bent housekey on a simple keyring is likely somewhat less than the aforementioned 208 MPH.

Pop another can of nitro will ya!

1,000ft wont make a difference any way an air plane can only go so fast in a dive. 300ft is about the higth u need to gain 99.9%
full speed. Also if u ever had a v-vector u would know/ with the mvvs.
